Hi Mark,
I am using this Progress Bar too and I have no problems with that in VFP 5. Some error codes in properties list are there because of VFP's bad ActiveX interface (new VFP6 fixes this bug), but progress bar is fully functional.
Reply me your error code and I try to tell you what could be wrong.
