I got my answer in the VFP Forum, thanks, but just to clear up things, I meant to 'tell' Excel that I want every cell in the column formatted in such-and-such a way. e.g. "Text" or "Date" or ...

>You could record a macro while formatting the column as you wish; then you will be able to review VBA code. Anyway, what do you mean, "format a column"? You may apply formatting like autofit to the column, or apply formatting to the CELLS.
