About 5 of our clients have reported that they started getting error 1105 after upgrading to our latest release. This is the release that we are using VFP 8 SP 1. A lot of our code is based the same way the old AccPac Pro 6.0 stuff was done and for this release the messageboxes still use the old FoxPro 2.6 style of @..Say..Gets. The line of code that they get the error on is
READ CYCLE MODAL OBJECT ln_defpad
Now they don't get it every time but the message that goes with the error is Error writing to file c:\windows\system32\foxuser.fpt. We don't have resource set on. I check our error log and we don't have a resource file active. In the past they didn't get this message. So either the message is invalid or why is VFP 8 trying to write to the system folder. Which most users don't have write access to.
