Dizzy was an anomale. The first law of playing a horn is to not blow out your cheeks that way, but to keep them tight. How he played like that is a jazz mystery.

Must be great to live in or near a city where Ronny Scot's is. It's one of those clubs like Birdland that has achieved true legendary status. Too bad he's gone. he did a lot for Jazz. I assume the club is still going strong?
