With the help of everybody in here I have been able to make this SP as clean as I think it is possible. Yes I am passing data (it is not a name that was just to make the example a little easier it is acctually a 1K bytes binary data block) as parameters 1 parameter for the Header table and 41 parameters for each of the 41 rows in the Detail (or Child) table.



>Yes, this is horrible.... You are passing a new name for the headername and then 41 distinct names for the child name, no? I think this can only be done long-hand, as you have proposed.
