On one of my first development project, I had to build something like that. It was cool at first as it was doing the job. But, then, the boss started to want more and more options. You know, those options that will always never be used. So, after a while, that application lost of its popularity as the form was so heavy for the data entry and many of those fields were never used. Just try have it to remain simple as well as doing what it should do. That's the most important goal for such application. I have seen many companies having such a complex application for such needs that it was irritating the users. If it takes 10 minutes to enter a task, it is not good.
