This is the main reason I too would like an OOP report writer. To date, I've yet to encounter a situation with the current report writer that I couldn't handle. But the way I've had to handle many things is none to pretty, and the resulting output would be generated and maintained much more efficiently if I had the flexibility of an OOP tool.
