You can create a report group on EOF() and move all fields from the Summary into its Footer.

>I'm very new t using the report writer in fox pro. I'm creating a report in Fox 7 VMP 2005. With Cathy Poutneys book "The VisualFoxPro Report Writer: Pushing it to the limit and beyond" and I'm finding my self in a situation regarding the summary band bug.
>
>I'm aware of this issue but I cannot seem to program a work around for it. Apparently when the detail band expands with data to the point where there is no room for the summary. The summary band then prints to the next page but doesn't print any header information.
>
>I've tried creating a report variable to count the number of lines per page but I'm not getting the correct number. ex (nLines as count of cursor containing the data) I get the number of records in my cursor but it doesn't reset per page and honestly is not what I expected as an indicator of the line count for page one.
>
>So needless to say my print when statement doesn't evealuate correctly for (print when nLines = 0). Additionally I'm not clear on how to remove header items if nLines is greater than zero. The checkboxes for these selections are greyed out and unavailable for some reason.
>
>Has someone out there successfully worked around this issue and if so can i get some explicite detailed instruction on how to go about fixing this so that my reports are more professional looking. This book really doesn't provide enough information for me to adapt the suggested work around to my report.
