I faced this exact problem recently. My solution was to store the file name in a text field. You can still use a form to display the picture by building a cursor at the last minute with a general field in it. Then you IMPORT GENERAL into it, and show it.

This worked great for me. I am really hoping that the horrible FPT bloat from general files goes away in some future version of Foxpro.
