>Thanks for sharing that Dragan. We already have an app ini file that I may incorporate those values into. When the form loads, the grid columns are set to a default width which allows all columns to be visible (but not all data in all columns). I would like the user to be able to expand a column if desired and have it remain so when they exit the app and go back in later. Some users have asked for that ability. However, what do you do to allow the user to return to the default column widths? In other words, if I widen column one and exit and go back into the app the form displays and adjusts the column widths to my last saved value. But let's say I want to return to the default column width values? Do you use a button?

I don't. IOW, there's no way (short of editing the ini file) to restore original widths, simply because I never had such a request.

I figure a header.dblclick would be a good event to use for this, or header.rightclick - where you could offer to restore the width for the column, all columns, etc, in a context menu.
