We have a scheduling application the builds calendars on the fly. Each day is an object that is placed and sized dynamically. Scheduling data is loaded month-by-month using parameterized local views that are based on free (DBF) tables. Loading a months worth of scheduling data was taking over 6 seconds with VFP3 on a P90 with 32 megs. Now it takes just over 2 seconds. I'm not sure exactly which operations are faster now, but clearly some operations are much faster in VFP5!
