Hi,
What is the good way to handle source control in this situation?

1. We just released a new product version (Ver 1.1) to customer.
2. We shall start to work on upcoming version (Ver 1.2) immediately after Ver1.1 released.
3. During the time working on Ver1.2, there may be some bugs found in Ver1.1 which need to fix immediately and send customer a patch.
4. We need send update Ver1.1.1 to customer instead of send unstable version 1.2 .

Should I use branch to my SCM? As I know that it is not a recommended way. Any other advise?

Thank you
