I'm not entirely clear on your meanings, but I'll take a shot at what I think you mean.
If you're referring to your executable's icon, that is set with the Project Manager (Select the Project Info item, under the Project menu). You can use the ImageEdit program to create one icon file to hold both 32x32 and 16x16 icons in one file (there's an article in the UT Knowledge Base's Project Manager on how to do this). If you bypass this step, the Fox icon will appear in the Window's Explorer.
The position of the icon on the desktop is purely arbitrary. Generally, it is sort of appended to the rest (placed in the next free position according to the layout).
