The "top 50 posters", with no time specified, is obviously the top posters of all times. Then, there are reports for the last month, 6 months, and others. I would take 6 months as the closest to a "long-term average".
>To give an idea of the value of the list, as to the value of the posts,
I come in the top 15 for most of the reports for the last week to the last 6 months. That would make
me like 9th to 11th most useful on the forum :-) But whether most of
my posts could be deemed useful to the community is a TOTALLY different matter! :-)
Sure. I think the idea to look up in this list (as asked originally) was not to automatically mark the top 3 from this list, but rather, to get a quick reminder of who is frequently participating. Using this as a starting-point, you could start making evaluations (necessarily subjective, to some degree) about the relative usefulness of the different members, in the different forums.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
