Are you using a File Server and is it an active directory? You can try to check your group policy. Your group policy may be enforcing to disconnect network connection when its idle, e.g 15 minutes...
Look under your server
local policy -> Computer Configuration->Security ->
Look for Policy "Microsoft Network Server: Amount of idle time required before suspending session", if there is a setting like 15 minutes, try to disable this policy by changing its value to "0".
