According to the URL you posted, it appears to be a survey of languages in general - not specific to Web based app dev (inter/intranet included).

FWIW, magazines polls can be pretty skewed in that they usually reflect the readership. Perusing things, it looks like a site geared toward C/C++ and Java developers. Take a look at the classifieds, calendar, or community sections. In all fairness, a review of VI 6 appears on the site.


As to which languages won should come as now surprise.
