>>Yeah but surely in the century since that film came out you've seen it at least twice more?! That scene ranks alongside Bogey's "Of all the bars in all the world..." and John Wayne's Centurion "Truly this man was the {Wayne essential pause} son of God" :)

Which one? If you mean "Planet of the Apes", you could have waited even longer IMO. No question that the final visual was iconic but that doesn't make a movie.

Addendum to Terry: the line was, "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine."

All right, now there's a quarter in me. "Casablanca" always does that to me.

"Louis, this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

"I remember everything about that day. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue."

"We'll always have Paris."

"I am shocked, shocked."

"Your winnings, sir."

"Round up the usual suspects." (The name of a terrific book about the movie and its making).

"Here's looking at you, kid."

What Bogey NEVER says: "Play it again, Sam." There is even a company by that name, and it's wrong. He says, "If she can stand it, so can I. Play it, Sam. Play 'As Time Goes By'".

I may watch it tonight.
