This cooled me down. You know, sometimes I think the browse was better. It could make a lengthy command just comparable in size and complexity to an SQL statement, but it worked as expected.

You've actually answered the question I asked in another thread, but then I can't blame you for bringing the bad news. Sometimes I just wish the grid wouldn't try to be so smart and simply retain the settings instead.
