I believe he was referring to the Air Force. During Vietnam, in the army company unit areas (and larger) were commonly referred to as 'camps.' Camp Phu Cat, Camp RedBall, NVA camps, etc. (Sheesh, I have to agree with Terry - it sounds like cat and mouse fights!) :o)
