>Originally the idea as to get our 300 or so uncompiled menu items into a single app and so we started compiling them individually and making sure each worked. Every one of them is a custom app or report, etc. Now we just enjoy being able to fix a bug and recompile that menu item exe and not have to touch the main app. There is no install the only thing on the client is a shortcut to a mapped drive and with 1Gbit to the w/s everyone is happy.

I spoke with another developer who had the same approach. It is a very cool way to assure that updates are seamless. Plus - you get the additional advantage of desktop submenu access to a specific module.

How are you dealing with the name spaces? When the user has two of your EXEs running, does each have it's own data environment?
