I'm glad you clarified the point of origin for SednaX. It was not my idea, nor am I the only one running it. There are currently two other administrators, Doug Hennig and Rick Schummer (Andy Kramek was also an administrator until recently). And, regardless of who's idea it was or who the administrators are, SednaX is a Visual FoxPro Community project. I am honored to be a part of it and be about the business of helping to harness the talent and experience of nearly 350 Visual FoxPro developers worldwide to improve Visual FoxPro (the number of SednaX members is still increasing at a very good rate).

The future of Visual FoxPro is bright. This year's activity on Blogs, podcasts, forums, screencasts, and articles is but a hint of the great things to come. The product is on the upswing and all positive contributions and brilliant ideas for capitalizing on the momentum are welcome and gratefully received. Thank you for your recent efforts on behalf of Visual FoxPro and the Community that surrounds it Ken... you look more and more like the Ken Levy I remember from years ago with each passing day.

>>> I think some of the future SednaX work collaborated on by other community folks like Craig Boyd is the real future for Fox (and not Sedna – don’t take that one personally Ken <g>).

>I agree, SednaX has lots of potential. SednaX was actually my idea. I called up Craig Boyd to discuss my idea less than a week before the SWFox conference in Phoenix, and I assisted him in his efforts to get it going so that he could talk about it and point people to it in the keynote session which he did. While Sedna will have some features for VFP via extensibility, I think Sedna itself is more about interoperability and SednaX is more about extensibility plus core VFP development features.
>
>>> It is almost as if things have come in a complete circle where years ago in the early dawn of FoxPro many of us contributed freely to community efforts with samples, solutions, tools and other fun code bits that might benefit out fellow developer. <<

>Yeah, it will be interesting to see what can be downloaded as part of the SednaX project (and other download locations) in say a year from now.
