My dad died two years ago and while it was tough, I was glad he went in his sleep and didn't wind up in a nursing home. He was 76 and he loved us kids and we loved him. I was raised by "Ozzie and Harriet" and never knew what a disfunctional family was until I got out into the real world. My mom is almost 80 now and gets around like she was 40, but she is lonely for my dad. I guess getting old just sucks.
