There's a mystery bookstore up here in Toronto called "The Sleuth of Baker Street", and it is one of those old fashioned stores. The walls are lined with shelves, and there are books piled on the floor. They have ladders for getting at the top shelves. I could spend days in there. Unfortunately, my paycheque dictates that I not go into that particular store too often.

And there's a used bookstore called 'Old Favourites' that thankfully has moved out of the city. It wasn't one of those cramped little used book stores. It was the size of a warehouse floor. It was a cramped big bookstore. The things I've found in there are amazing - "The Complete Gilbert" if you can imagine (2 volumes). All his lyrics from the operettas, all his poetry, his sketches, everything. I gave it to my mother as a birthday present one year. It was like giving money to Scrooge McDuck. She was thrilled.

>Bookstores do NOT fall into the category of shopping. :0) I typically read 2 books a week so I cannot avoid a bookstore! Besides, they are really coffee shops in disguise now :o)
