If there is AV on the server as well as the workstations, did you remember to temporarily turn it off as well?
Also, have you checked that it's not some sort of issue with 1 of the workstations? For example, suppose you have 2 workstations, A and B:
- You've tested with just A -> fast performance. You've tested with A + B -> slow performance.
Have you also checked:
- Test with just B -> performance? Then test with B + A -> performance?
