We have a very talented seamstress here at my office who made me an incredible Santa suit about 6 or 7 years ago complete with toy bag. When my daughter was about 3 or 4 years old, I would wait until she had been asleep for a couple of hours (usually around 10pm), then I would put on the suit and start putting out the Christmas gifts. When ready, I would lightly shake some large jingle bells while my wife would gently wake up our daughter and tell her she thought she heard Santa. They would "sneak" into the living room (where I always kept my back or side to them), then I would hear a tiny little gasp, a quick pattering of little feet scurrying back to bed, then some giggling. Now that is priceless.
