You (or Ken) draw too much from a survey question that was along the lines of "Have you used VFP to manipulate data in SQL Server or some other backend dataqbase server?".
I answered yes, making me one of that percentage BUT that is a very rare occurrence compared to my use of "pure VFP". Very rare.
Maybe, since .NET can do OLEDB, you should use DBCs and DBFs for the .NET part.
Seems equitable to me since OLEDB is a 'native' access method for .NET.
