Exactly.... we are trying to take an objective look here at these issues. I just replied to a message from walter that you might want to look at. It re-focuses the discussion on tasks and how we can see objectively how each tool does them.

Yes each tool does have its own set of advantages/disadvantages. This thread came from someone basically claiming .NET was not suitable for data work. I disagreed. Which is why we are here discussinh this now.

As I have said already we need to lift the covers and show in detail how each of these tools can do the same job. Developers here will form their own opinions...
