Now you see the situation we're in. I'd have to take a giant leap backwards to write that little app in .net because I don't code that way either. We have 1,000's of users using our software and his UI arguments just don't hold water.

If we add a feature that causes an extra mouse click for the user, we have to justify why. Terry has never done any big-time, big user apps, so he can't speak with authority to that issue. As long as you're happy with 2 usrs using an app you wrote for mom/pop, then Terry's approach probably makes sense. But with 5,000 users, it doesn't.

No amount of logic, show and tell, or anything else you can try, will convince him otherwise; but, I'm glad you see the futility in trying to convert the app. If you notice, in the undelying data structure, if I remember correctly, there are no primary keys in any of the data. That's just one example.

Anyway, don't waste your time or breath. It ain't worth it.
