I am using log shipping to keep our backup server up-to-date. This seems to be working well so far, but I am unable to link users of the backup database to SQL logins already defined on the server because the database is 'read only', or to define database users on the new server. Is this something that can only be done if and when the backup server becomes live because of a fail-over??
