When I see TS mentioned I flashback to dumb terminals. If you actually do have that situation, in addition to Waynes suggestions,

A launcher program: you may need a terminal/login specific may-b-temp subdirectory on the server as no local directory can be formed.

Additionally add a EXE version verification process to the launch.

Things are not as complicated as they used to be...
