>Well, lying under oath of course should be punished. However, the underlying problem in my opinion is way more fundamental. Why was his sex life ground for investigation in the first place?

Snip.

I couldn't careless about anyone's sex life or the fact that he cheated on his wife. That's between he and his wife. But can I have my tax money back for the time he spent with Monica when he should have been working. I didn't pay my taxes so he could have a little fling. But the worst thing was he lied under oath and told other who knew to also lie.

Couldn't he have waited after hours and checked into a hotel room or something? If we were caught having sex at our cubicle at work during working hours, what would happen to us? Which reminds of a Seinfeld episode where George Castanza was fired for having sex in his cubicle with the cleaning lady. :)
The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.
- Alexis de Tocqueville

No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.
