I do my reports via xml + xslfo and then output to pdf through apache fop, all programatically.

it's a lot to learn but does allow me to send to printer or pdf and is far more stable than any other route I've found so far.

and I highly recommend the talking straight to exchange server through winsock as it's so much better than going through outlook for speed and stability.

the article on wiki works well, I found a few errors in it, but I think it's been all fixed now.
