Interestingly, a very large drop in firearm deaths ocurred between 1991 and 1996 yet the new restrictions were put into place during 1996-1997... overall between 1991 and 2001 it appears to have dropped from 600+ to 400+ deaths due to firearms.
What's up with the large number of suicides (compared to homicides)?
