Ahh... I see where you're headed...
The nice thing about CSS is that it's quite easy to change the design, which is why I suggested it.
I would definately use menus on the left side and bread crumbs along the top.
>Well, yes, as much as possible should be done via CSS, but that's a tool, not a design and I was wondering more about actual designs for navigation. The UT makes heavy use of toolbars (buttonbars), but I actually don't see that all that much elsewhere (at least not the way the UT does them).
