Huh ?? The links on that page go directly to statistical data provided by the government directly, not some obscure political influenced media source. It gives an explanation of the statistical analysis provided in that letter.

Worse, all links I found on american pages, taking the 'failed gun control' policy in australia are more or less based on this letter. And of course the american media is horny enough to pick up this kind of messages to support the things they believe in the media. IOW, Biased reporting. Worse, the american media did not even took the effort to check the source. If they had checked the numbers from the statistical source and looked at the numbers objectively, they would not have published this crap.

This is exactly the reason why I want to see the source of the news and esspecially statistical numbers, rather than believing everything that comes from american media. I'm not going to say that this does not happen elsewhere, but americans certainly made an art out of it.

You keep believe what you want to believe, but be aware it might not be the truth. You're beeing fooled by your media and the weapon lobby. You can call me paranoia, but I've seen to much in this thread already to make me so.

Oh yeah, comming from you government: http://www.claytoncramer.com/DroppingCrime.PDF

This at least states the source (FBI), comming with some statistical analysis. The writer does not take hard conclusions as he doubts how these numbers should be intepretated. However the gun control restrictions during the clinton adminsitration at least does not seem to have any negative effects.
