Engineers go to great lengths to improve handling and control systems to reduce MVAs and the associated casualties to passengers and (increasingly) pedestrians as well. Unfortunately the universe creates bigger fools to offset increasingly fool-proof autos so casualties will never be completely eliminated.

A gun is a tool too. I wear at least one - everyday. It is the "tool" of my trade. It can also be called a safety "tool". If you go into grizzly bear country, you might want to think about the potency of the "tool" you carry for protection. You won't need a LAWS rocket, but a 460 Weatherby would probably be a good choice. It would be the "tool" of choice.
