From what I know VSS doesn't really save the vcx table directly, but rather its conversion to text (the .vca file, or something like that), where it keeps the source to your methods, and any non-default properties. It's a textfile anyway, you may just modify file aevents.vca, if you find it (don't know really where it keeps these files).

Now as long as you haven't done any changes to any of the PEMs, the textfile generated will remain the same, and VSS won't think it's changed. Recompile affects only the binary memo objcode, not any PEMs.
