>When I was four my mother took us shopping in downtown San Francisco. We went to five stores and each one had a Santa Claus who would ask the children what they wanted for Christmas. I asked my mom why there was more than one Santa Claus, and mom replied, “Santa is very busy and those are his helpers”! I drove my mom nuts with many questions and she was fast on her feet with her replies, which always satisfied me.

>Another question I asked my mom when I was four years old. “How does Santa get into our house? We don’t have a chimney”! Mom replied with no hesitation, “Santa has a key to everyone’s front door”! :)

I was skeptical about Santa as a kid. I figured that even if it took him just 1 minute per house, without doing ANY fancy maths, there was no way he was gouing to get round all the houses in one city, never mind country, and that's not even allowing for travel time between each house/village/town/city, and not allowing for his being sloshed by quaffing brandy in every house that leaves it out for him, or, again, the time to drink it and eat the mince pie.

In later years one of the Santa Claus xmas films explained how he got down narrow chimneys (shape-shifting) but didn't explain how he time-warped. ... So I''m still Skeptical :-)
- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
