I was in Holland in the summer and it was similar to here in the spring. Spend a summer in North Carolina and then elect to go without central air! :o) I wouldn't live here without it. I'd move back to Wisconsin in a heartbeat.

>>I don't think the U.S. uses too much energy. I have a 2000 square foot home, I keep the air on 70 degrees in the summer and 68 degrees in the winter, I have two computers running 24/7 (sometimes 3), 4 DVD players (2 are recorders), 4 VCRs, 4 televisions, 2 stereos, and only 1 cat and just 1 child. When my daughters friends are spending the night, it seems that everything is turned on and running all night long in every room :o)

>Im my about 170 square metres, we have natural gas heated radiators, we don't have central airconditioning, though I do have one in my office which is used only a few weeks a year. 2 adults, 2 childs, I have only one computer running 24x7, on occasion two. 2 televisions, 1 VCR, 1 home cinema set with DVD recorder.
