One August the Exec VP from San Fran was in Toronto, and Roger (our VP) drove him around for the day. It was about 29 degrees Celsius with a humidex reading somewhere around 38. The standard changed almost immediately. Toronto, when it gets hot in the summer can be like wading around in a giant bowl of porridge. No way I could give up my AC.

As I've said before, I was in Toronto during the "powooer owoodage" of 2003. I hadn't even realised that the a/c had been on all night before that. Just lay there with a wee pool of sweat on my chest. Gotta agree with you. Mind you, youi don't need the a/c on cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass mnonkey, as you guys like your beer, and there were plenty of public announcmemnts on TV imploring people to raise their temp a few degrees (thus saving enough to power Kingston or some such).
