It is recommended that you recompile the EXE/APP using SP1 and update it when the runtime files are updated on the users machine. That does not mean it won't work or is not supported if you don't. Often developers do this all at the same time when an update is required. That doesn't mean it won't work if you don't, but it is best to keep use EXE/APP files compiled with the same VFP build number as tne VFP runtime being used for to run it - see VERSION(1) function value for the VFP build number.
