Thanks for thinking of me. To state my problem more clearly, the FoxProDOS 2.6 program wants to set the errorlevel, say to 0 or 1. Or, just as useful, we want to set the value of a DOS environment variable. GETENV handles inbound information, my concern here is outbound information. Specifically, we'd set the internal variable to 1=failed, then run the program, and at the end set it to 0. If it crashed anywhere in the middle, the 1=Error would flow back into our clever sequencer. Last night, someone we thought was trained, saw our special clever sequencer PC was crashed (due to a network crash), and replied Cancel, then QUIT.
