Back in the 80's when my kids were young, I didn't work outside the home and I was still married, my then-husband would constantly be "yelling" at me to keep the doors locked during the day while he was away at work. I always thought he was crazy (and ignored his "advice") ... I mean, think about it ... I have 3 kids running in and out of the house all day long and I should lock the doors??? Didn't make much sense to me.
