Yeah. Since the EC (now EU) they became mandatory many years ago. My cousin's husband was a lorry driver and before they became law, he showed me the one in his cab. It was like a thick black circle of ink where the same one had been in for years, written over and over. He wasn't happy about their becoming mandatory.
