On this we agree absolutely. The problem is that the so-called law abiding citizen can go off the deep end. If there are no regulations at all on gun ownership, then it seems to me that we are playing Russian Roulette with all our lives. I think anybody who wants to own a gun should be required to take tests to see if the person can handle a gun safely and competently. On top of that, though, I'd also like to see the person subjected to psychological tests. I just can't get behind the idea that just anybody who salivates at the idea of owning a gun should be allowed to.
