>I have a bit of an issue. We have a standalone version of the inhouse program that goes onto the salesforce laptops. We have had a new laptop purchased and the machine was setup with a different name than the previous laptop. Mike vs. Michael. The program uses the Getenv('USERname') to retrieve the username and verify against a provided list. I cannot figure out how, where, or what info to change for the new laptop to work like the old laptop did. Any suggestions?

Right-click on My Computer
Go to Properties
Go to the Advanced tab
Click on Environment Variables
Edit the appropriate environment variable (it's probably a System environment variable)

Above instructions are for W2K, may differ slightly on XP
