The job of a cop is to enforce the law. If it's a law you think doesn't matter, then tough. It's still the cop's job to enforce it.

So I guess you would have turned Ghandi over to the British or Schindler to the Nazis? They disobeyed the Law. Our society EVOLVES by questioning and resisting abuse of authority. The authorities feel they cannot be corrupt because they support the law.
Do you always obey the speed limit? Are you even aware of every little stupid law that exists? I'm not very religious, but maybe the Bible had it right. 10 commandments is plenty. Those of you who are religious, please correct me, but if you don't covet that spot at the front of the line, you won't cut in front of others, right?
