A very small remark.

Yes, you can generate XML cursor from MS SQL server, but consume it with VFP not a very simple and smooth thing, because of MS SQL Server 2000 generate Text fields without limit (this field will be like memo in VFP cursor.) I could solve this problem, creating ASP.NET web service as an layer between VFP and MS SQL Server 2000 SP4.

In MS SQL Server 2005 this problem was solved, so if your project new - my advice to use this very nice database from the beginning.
