The founders were absolutely not of this kind. There's a reason why there is much talk of the separation of church and state. They went out of their way to create documents that contain language that specifically state that people like Howie will not be able to make some of the decisions they feel emboldened to make these days.

I think a lot of it comes from the prez talking about how he makes his decisions based on his conversations with Gd, or however he's phrasing it. It is pandering to these folks. And it's worked for 2 elections. But most normal folks are realizing the situation they've put themselves in. At least I hope.

We'll find out at the end of the year during the 2006 elections.
