Yes - I select the alias name on form load. Nevertheless, the memo field won't open. (more to come on this)

Can't you keep the alias the same event though the table name is different?

use (tablename) alias youalias

>I am developing an app that gathers details in a separate form. After a click on the 'main form' the details form opens. The trouble I am having is that the table, that the form uses for detail gathering, has the same structure all the time but a different table name. Part of the structure is a memo field. I put a button on the form with 'modify memo notes' under the button, but when clicked, the memo field does not open. How can I open that memo field for direct access to the table's memo field?
